The Wedding Is Off!

You remember the in the movies how either the bride or groom gets left at the altar? Well, the groom in this case is Obama and the bride is the dominant liberal mass media (aka the White House Press Corps). The gloves have come off between the press secretary Robert Gibbs and the press who have their digs in the basement levels of the White House who grill him every day.

Needless to say, Robert Gibbs has a very real tendency to come into the press briefings completely unprepared for what he’s going to be asked about. I’m actually quite pleased with this little scene. It tells me a couple of things:

1) The actual press hounds who live, eat, and breath the White House press life are no more married to Obama’s administration than I am; and

2) Sooner or later, Gibbs is really going to screw up; and

3) The dominant liberal mass media (Rush calls them “drive by media”) are eventually going to tire of not getting a straight answer from Obama’s lackey, Robert Gibbs.

I can say all this with complete confidence because I have been going to www.whitehouse.gov and reviewing the daily press briefings. It’s pretty sad stuff to see. Mr. Gibbs has had an obvious lack of public speaking; has difficulty speaking to large groups (let alone small groups); cannot complete a sentence without stumbling and re-tracing what he said then starting over; gets miffed when a press hound pursues a line of questioning; and obviously has no clue what’s really going on in the White House because he’s not getting the information he needs to be well-enough informed to entertain any question put to him.

His favorite response seems to be, “I’ll look into that and get back to you”; however, I have yet to read where he has actually followed up on anything and reported back to the press corps in the White House. If he is following up, he is not being the “transparent” press secretary that he is supposed to be. There are no follow-ups to anything put to him in the transcripts of the press briefings, nor in subsequent press briefings. So, either he’s avoiding coming up with an answer or he simply doesn’t want to admit that he is so totally not worth spit when it comes to being a press secretary. A press secretary is supposed to be able to entertain any question put to him/her. His predecessors certainly were.

If the dominant liberal mass media doesn’t start getting real answers concerning this lie of a “stimulus” bill; the escalation of conflict in Afghanistan; the shifting of military priorities; the tax scandals that seem to be now plaguing all of the nominees and still dogging Geithner (yes – the press is continuing to pursue this one!), they will turn on Obama like a great white shark on a bee-line for the new seal pups that are the White House cabinet members.

Picture it now – the great white is circling, coming in closer and closer, but deep down in the ocean and it sees this dark form near the surface of the water – it’s a seal pup named Obama (or maybe Gibbs). The shark shifts into high speed and comes up from beneath the form and launches itself and the seal pup out of the water all the while cutting death strikes into the sides of the baby seal. Nature will take its course. The press is already becoming disenchanted with Obama’s people and, before long, they will go after the ‘One’ himself.

Maybe then they’ll decide to finally vett this person whom they have so lovingly placed upon a pedestal and proclaimed to be the governmental equivalent of the Messiah. Even Jesus was flailed and ridiculed (and eventually crucified).

Your Medical Information & Right To Privacy

If you are one who desires to keep your medical information private (and who, in their right mind would not want to keep their medical details private from all but their doctor, insurance and theirself?), then you should be aware that the new “stimulus” package that the House Democrats just passed contains a provision mandating the turning over of all your medical records to the federal government, HHSA (Health & Human Services Administration) to build this so-called “universal healthcare” program that Obama wants to start. There is NO OPT OUT PROVISION in this package. So, even if you carry private insurance and won’t be participating in this universal healthcare program, your information will become part of the government’s database. This database can then potentially be used to deny you coverage for anything at all. What you may not realize is that even if you don’t participate in this universal healthcare government insurance program that Obama is trying to enact, your private insurance will be forced to go through a goverment clearing house to obtain their premiums and to dole out your coverage to your providers. This is a complete nationalization of the health care program (read SOCIALISM) and makes you subject to the whims of a governmental system that cannot keep track of what it spends now (that’s another topic). Beware – Big Brother is taking over your life without you even knowing about it.

The Purge Has Begun

Madam Speaker, Nancy Pelosi, has thrown down the gauntlet with her comment that contraception (aka abortion) will “stimulate” the US economy because it will have local, state, and federal governments paying less over the long haul to support those on welfare. This is social and human engineering. Did I not read somewhere or hear her say herself, that she is a Catholic? I wonder what Pope Benedict would think of her membership in the Catholic church? Would he excommunicate her for such beliefs?

Let’s do the math – Assuming the federal government increases its funding of abortions (the Dems call it contraception – I call it Socialistic State-Sponsored Abortion), we could take 1,000,000 abortions (which number is extremely conservative) at a rate of $1,000/abortion cost; this would equate to $1 billion in federal/state funding for those who can’t seem to keep their pants up and continue to cost the country for their stupidity. It does not matter the economic class of the persons benefitting from this process. By Pelosi’s math, were these pregnancies to be permitted to come to term, and these same slouchers bring up their children on the welfare dole, keeping in mind that it costs well over $100,000 to raise a child to the age of 18, she thinks we would be saving more than $100 billion to raise those 1 million welfare babies. However, that’s spread out over 18 years and, as a consequence, saves this country only somewhere around $111 million. If , on the other hand, each and every one of those babies were brought to term and adopted (or better yet, brought up by parents who understand that living off the public dole only keeps them “down” so getting a job and making a living wage is a much better option, not only for the parent but for the child(ren) as well), our country would save that $111 million for each of those years, in addition to the $1.8 trillion spent on paying for the abortions ($200,111,111,112 annual savings). Which is the better deal? Which would better stimulate the US economy – abortion or responsible parenting? Bottom line, keep your pants zipped unless you can afford to bring up a child for 18 years (or longer).

What this boils down to is social engineering and eugenics. You remember eugenics from high school, don’t you? It is the process of deciding who is worthy of remaining alive based on a false presumption by a governmental body of who can benefit the collective more over the long term. Obviously, Ms. Pelosi and Mr. Obama both agree that those in the poorer communities of our country are not really worth saving; that they are not really worth trying to assist by helping them learn how to help themselves; by handing them another ready-made opportunity to keep them downtrodden and lying about it by calling economic stimulus. I don’t think that this stimulates anything in me except anger.

Now, I’m not one who will be protesting in front of an abortion clinic anytime soon. But, for me, abortion is not, nor has it ever been, an option. I believe that each person has to weigh her options and decide for herself what she is willing to live with for the rest of her life – it is something that she needs to reconcile with Almighty God. However, I do not, nor have I ever, suggest to anyone that abortion will be the answer to all her ills and do not recommend it to anyone. I do not believe that it should be a federal right because it is not identified as such within the context of the US Constitution. In fact, the Constitution does not reference anything about it at all. The Declaration of Independence provides us the passage of “life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness”. Therefore, it is a States’ Right as to whether or not a state should allow abortion as part of its services, or permit such to be undertaken as a private measure within each state’s borders. It was liberal justices who allowed Roe v Wade to become the law of the land and it should be a measure that the SCOTUS should be ashamed of because they legislated from the bench rather than interpreting the Constitution as it was written by inserting their own beliefs into their decision.

Given the new trifecta of Democrat control (yes, “Democrat”, not “Democratic”), it is imperative for those of us who espouse conservative viewpoints to be extremely vocal, extremely strong in our standing, and inflexible to the point of breaking. By being such strong individuals, we’ll become the Republicans our founding fathers wanted us to be. We cannot permit the social engineering of SOCIALIST/MARXIST Obama and his cronies. We cannot permit the human rights violations that would proliferate under his rule. To decide that abortion would be stimulus for our economy is something from the Dark Ages and should not be permitted to flourish. Stamp out the idiocy of this new regime and run for office against it in 2010 at all levels.

Maybe Someone Will Call For His Impeachment By The End of Next Week

Yes, “Maybe someone will call for…” was a specific quote by Massimo Granellini, a reporter for an Italian newspaper regarding Barack Hussein (yes, it’s now okay to use that Arabic middle name since he has decided to use it in his swearing-in ceremony) Obama and the fact that the luster is already wearing thin on the people of Europe and the Middle East. The Iranians are already burning BHO in effigy saying that because he didn’t side with Hamas in the current Israeli/Hamas conflict that he should be killed. (What else is new? This happens with every president being installed when it comes to foreign countries burning them in effigy. But this is their Muslim “brother” as they think of him so why would they burn him in effigy? Because he didn’t come out and choose their side of the Fatwa and say that he doesn’t believe Israel should be able to exist. Besides, if Obama gets into the mix before his inauguration, he could be subject to the Logan Act which prohibits any private citizen from meddling in state affairs and attempting to circumvent or privately negotiate same on personal ambitions which Obama essentially did when he visited Iraq and tried to get the Iraqi president to delay withdrawal negotiations so that he could take credit for it).

Europeans wholeheartedly supported Obama as their pick for our country’s next presidential candidate, but they are already becoming disenamored with him because of his pre-election admission that he will NOT be able to deliver on all his promises. (What else is new? Presidential candidates in this country have always promised more than they could ever hope to deliver and the undying love for Obama will fade just as it has for every other president at some point and we, as conservatives, can only hope that undying love fades quickly.)

Some of the things we should be VERY concerned about, however, include H. J.Res 5, a resolution to do away with the 22nd amendment of the US Constitution which imposes a two-term limitation on all presidents in this country because the NY congressman who introduced it wants Obama to be able to be “president for life” should he choose to (all hail King Obama). This is a very bad precedent because it opens our country up to inherited rule (i.e., the same kind of rule in Cuba where Castro hand-picked his brother to succeed him or Hugo Chavez who has already hand-picked his successor, or even Kim Jong Il who has hand-picked his son to be his successor). We founded this country on two principle reasons: religious freedom and not having “kings” to rule for lifetimes.

There is also HJ Res 14 which threatens to reduce our Constitutional rights further by eliminating any term limits on members of the House of Representatives and Senate, essentially giving them the ability to be rulers for lifetimes, despite what any state statutes may dictate. They want to do this by essentially giving their members a “1 year” hiatus between term eligibilities – and this, in and of itself, would be allowing them to basically rule for lifetimes.

In addition, here is a website listing all of the Socialistic programs that Congress is trying to get past us without us knowing about what’s going on. Talk about “transparency” – NOT! Oh, and on that transparency issue – Obama’s proposal says that Congress would only have to allow it to be posted on a government website for 5 days AFTER it has already been passed and not before when the constituency (you and I) would be able to talk to our congressmen to tell them whether we think they should support a particular bill or not!.

The other big thing that is on the plate for which we should all be vigilent is the fact that we are only two states away from having a Constitutional Convention called. “What is this”, you ask? It is the calling of states’ representatives (as identified by each states’ legislators, chosen by their state houses/senates) to meet in Washington or Philadelphia, or some other such location, to re-work the US Constitution. Ohio will shortly be calling a vote on whether to request the ConCon themselves and then that would leave only one state to so request. The reason this is so critical is because it takes only 34 states to call for a “ConCon”. The last one was in 1787 when the Bill of Rights was adopted, protecting the citizenry from the government. What’s the harm? How about adding dozens of new amendments making same sex legal, any form of abortion legal (regardless of the term of pregnancy), doing away with presidential term limits, or (most importantly) doing away with the private citizen’s right to keep and bear arms? Even though several of the states have withdrawn their request for a Constitutional Convention, there is no provision within the Constitution itself to accept those withdrawals of request. In other words, you can request, but you can’t revoke the request. That is, admittedly, a flaw within our Constitution. And how about Mr. Obama’s pledge to re-write the Bill of Rights, made just this past weekend on Saturday when starting his whistle stop tour from Philly to DC?

Our country is so very close to implosion from accepting Socialist views and “one world government” philosophies that we are about to lose our individual identy. We could potentially no longer even be a country within the next 10 years if the plans of Marxist Socialist ideals such as that which Mr. Obama represents (read his book Dreams From My Father to see the proof of his Marxist leanings), and the supression of free speech which is already rapidly occurring throughout our secondary education system (and now in our high schools – see article in Dayton Press about the Mason High School principal revoking the ability of any student to say anything at all negative about Mr. Obama) that the death of our country is a real and present danger.

Will Mr. Obama be impeached? Not likely by our US Senate, but very likely he will be impeached by the rest of the world – and sooner than he thinks.

Now We’ll Tax Humans for Animal “Expressions”

It had to come – all this “greening” of the world based on completely flawed data for a THEORY called “global warming”. . . . a sin tax on cattle, pigs, goats, and other farm animals. This will, if passed (and we know that with Obama in office it will), create huge cost increases at the meat counter for those of us who love our red meat. That, in turn will increase sales tax (in those jurisdictions where cut meats are taxable on a food tax).

I’m not kidding. In quoting the WorldNetDaily.com article, EPA ‘Cow Tax’ Could Charge $175 per Dairy Cow to Curb Greenhouse Gases”, on today’s edition of the electronic news page, this is a real planned tax. Farming operations would be charged as follows:

“The tax for dairy cows could be $175 per cow, and $87.50 per head of beef cattle. The tax on hogs would upwards of $20 per hog,” the release said. “Any operation with more than 25 dairy cows, 50 beef cattle or 200 hogs would have to obtain permits.”

What’s more, this would be annually, not one time per animal. The farmers would then be forced to pass this cost on to the middle-men buyers, who would jack up the price of dairy and meats in the grocery stores.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH! The THEORY of global warming is nothing more than that – a T-H-E-O-R-Y. Theories have to be proven, not disproven. Data parameters cannot be changed to suit the desired outcomes, despite what Al Gore may say and dispirate sets of data cannot be “hen pecked” to come up with information that suits the desired outcome, as has been widely done in the global warming theory. If it’s getting warmer, it’s because of global warming. If it’s getting colder, then it’s because of global warming. Stupidity reigns supreme for those who worship at the altar of Al Gore, a failed presidential candidate who spends more on his home utilities in one month than you or I could spend in 10 years. But what does he care? He’s got $1 million from the Nobel Society to pay for those utility bills. In addition, his so-called carbon offsets that he “sells” for his personal use, are sold to his own corporate foundation – talk about eating at the trough of public funding.

And another thing while I’m venting – POLAR BEARS numbers are increasing, not decreasing. They were put on the list of “at risk” populations of animals because of this so called global warming THEORY to make the “greenies” happy. There are more polar bears now than have existed since the last ice age and the ice levels in the Arctic and Antarctic are at a level at least as high as in 1979 – 30 years ago.

You see, little ‘GREENIES’, the earth’s climate runs in cycles, approximating 30-40 years. So, if the ice levels at the poles are what they were 30 some years ago, then I don’t think there’s anything to worry about. Next you’ll be wanting a tax on the “expression” that you and I each create from digesting those vegetables we’ll be reduced to eating because our dairy and meat are too expensive. What’s next, a tax on ant gas?
