A COMPARATIVE STUDY – Marxism vs. Obamanism

I spoke with a friend yesterday – she’s planning on voting for Obama because she wants to “try something different” as far as how our country is run. I told her that I’m not trying to change her mind, but that perhaps we should discuss what it is that attracts her to Obama, because I, for one, can’t figure out what’s so alluring. So, we talked a bit. She seems to be attracted to his case for bringing the troops home from Iraq. When I explained that his 18 month timetable, to bring them home by the end of December 2009 was not possible, she seemed surprised. Then I explained the reasoning behind the fallacy of his timetable. She really seemed surprised. When I asked her what she thought of his healthcare plans, she seemed to be really upbeat about his wanting to provide government-controlled healthcare – what could be the harm. She suggested that we “try it to see if it works”. I explained that people in Canada have health care portioned out to them because once they get to a certain age, if they come down with, say cancer, they won’t get the appropriate care in time; I explained the problems with socialized healthcare in England and how people are now being kept on ambulance so that the hospitals can meet their mandatory 2-hour window for patients in the emergency room and how that’s tying up the ambulances because they then cannot respond to emergencies for those who need them now. She seemed not to quite understand and she’s a nursing student. I suggested that she look at some of the information, independent of what I might say, to see for herself what he is promising and what he can actually deliver. She admitted that she was not well-informed.

 

To help anyone who is “on the fence” about the election in terms of what Obama is actually doing versus nationalized healthcare, taxes, entitlements, and the like, here is a comparison to the process laid out by Karl Marx in his treatise on establishing communism.

 

Step 1: Direct massive military power that results at once in the desired communist take-over. Examples of this are found in the Baltic states (although this step is not required to achieve).

 

Obama has not yet used a formal military force, nor would he dare; however, he is using hundreds of thousands of young college students and “Obamaphiles” to do his fieldwork to try to pressure people into voting for his candidacy. He has even gone to the extent of employing the activists of ACORN to register voters (many fraudulently) and college students in the state of Ohio to register/early vote same day, those students on the college campuses who are not registered voters. Such students are bound to vote in their home jurisdictions and such votes should be counted as fraudulent unless they can be proven to have only voted in their eligible jurisdiction. Their jurisdiction is based on the application documentation when they applied for college and scholarships as well as their state identification cards/drivers’ licenses.

 

Step 2: Always used to the utmost advantage is the saturation of a target country with propaganda.

 

Obama and his Obamaphiles have utilized the liberal-biased mass media, sometimes referred to as the “drive by” media to spread his candidacy. He heavily endorses 527 organizations that support his cause yet attempts to quash the free speech of those 527 organizations and other candidates who disagree with his message. He has within his control the following mass media markets: CNN, ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, CNBC and many liberal-biased news and print mediums including the AP.

 

Step 3: Creation within the target country of mass agitation. Any issues at hand are used.

 

Obama has stirred agitation through his college student followers and through the mass media by indicating that his opponent does not care for those of other cultures who may be in this country, whether legally or illegally. He has released Spanish language commercials to this effect.

Step 4: Infiltration.

 

Marxists have the distinct process of infiltrating the weaker of any political party. In this case, it is the Democrat party. They have not been in power of the two houses plus the White House for some time. They are desperate to regain power and are willing to overlook the fact that they have, in fact, been infiltrated. Obama is the principal infiltrator in this situation. He is Muslim by birth, Muslim by upbringing, Marxist by training, and supports the Marxist activities of his Luo Tribe in Kenya as evidenced by his support of a family member’s candidacy there (after which successful election there have been mass killings).

 

Step 5: Demoralization (most effectively called the ‘scare’ technique).

 

How many times do you have to be told that something is hopeless without his intervention? Obama has said, “I will fix it”; “I will do (such and such)”; “I am the only one who can fix our economy”. Yet, for all his talk about this, he has made a number of votes that are counter to his verbalized stance. I quote the Thomas register of the senate.gov website which details his votes on many issues. (a chart is attached here for your review). What he says he will fix, he has, in fact, voted against.

 

“You go into these small towns in Pennsylvania and, like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing’s replaced them…And they fell through the Clinton administration, and the Bush administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not. And it’s not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.”

Step 6: Intimidation.

 

The Obama Thought Police and Truth Squads have deployed. In the State of Missouri, he has engaged the support of a district attorney and a prosecutor to fight his battles for him. He has gotten them to threaten to pursue anyone who speaks ill of his platform, regardless of whether they can substantiate their claim that such discussion is not truthful. Yet Obama and his allied 527 organizations are able to speak to whatever issue they want, in whatever way they want, without fear of persecution or prosecution. See KMOV.TV video here:

In addition, he is encouraging people of the Democrat party to involve themselves by “get(ting) in (our) face”. Some have gone to the extent of producing t-shirts making fun of Sarah Palin’s child, Trig, who was born with Downs’ Syndrome.

 

 

 

Step 7: Gain the confidence of the people – study their problems, provide help for them, sell yourself as their friend in aiding them to achieve their goals.

 

He has done well in this area by influencing those who are the least knowledgeable in our country – the college and teenage youth who are just coming of voting age. He has lied ceaselessly about issues that he claims to be concerned about, yet does not have the voting record to back up. He tries to act as everyone’s friend and says he will cure all our ills. He is, after all, the Obamassiah.

 

  

    

 

Step 8: Subversion.

 

See my comments on the liberal-biased mass media on spreading his message through propaganda in step 2 above.

 

Step 9: The end – it is voluntary surrender to Communism and the loss of all freedoms.

 

This is what will happen if he is elected.

 

AFTER THE TAKEOVER

Step 1: Fulfill all promises made in gaining the people’s confidence (step 6 explains this further).

 

He will enact his programs, as identified in the Democrat Party Platform (DNC Platform) but will not allow it to be in effect for more than one year, by which time he will have accomplished all his other plans.

 

Step 2: Disarm everyone, and confiscate all weapons. At the same time, activate a powerful secret police system.

 

This will be one of his first items to deal with. He will have to accomplish step 3 first to prevent any opposition here.

 

Step 3: Shoot all of the leaders of the conquered country, and all potential leaders.

 

Dissolution of the Supreme Court, Republican leaders, Republican governors, and State House Leaders, and US military officials who are of any opposing thought to his own.

 

Step 4: Take over all communications and transportation systems.

 

Since he already has control of the major market stations, this will not be difficult.

 

Step 5: Set up the new government as the only employer or source of jobs. Everyone will be forced to work where the government dictates, doing what the government dictates and receiving for wags only what the government dictates.

 

This is already in process through his wanting to control banks, trade, and the free market. The “bailout” plan is filled with his plans to support and subvert programs like ACORN, a clearly proven fraudulent organization. Once control of Wall Street is achieved and the control of all banking institutions is achieved, he basically has complete control of all international and domestic businesses.

 

Step 6: Take back anything given to the people in Step 1. This was always the plan and now it can be done safely.

 

He will reverse all programs designed to be entitlements and will, through his control of both houses of government, oversee the takeover of all healthcare systems. Healthcare and any entitlement programs will be severely restricted to be dispensed as he and his followers see fit.

 

Step 7: Set up a forced internal spy system – with everyone spying on everyone else and reporting to the secret police.

 

This will be achieved not only through his control over prosecutors and police, but through his youth programs. Programming the young is easy – programming the elderly and the middle-aged is more difficult. Eventually they will all be jailed and the control over the country will be completed through the youth of our country.

 

Step 8: Forbid all travel outside of a small area – such as a ten mile circle. This will make virtually impossible any effective resistance or organization of any opposition group.

 

Since airline companies are already having a difficult time, and since Amtrak is owned and run by the government as a quasi-governmental transportation system, this will not be difficult. I foresee the installation of checkpoints on highways and interstates

What Does It Tell You When Clinton Agrees That It’s The Democrats’ Fault?

What Happened Monday?

What Did Monday’s Market Drop Mean?
(Or, What Caused It?)

There are a number of contributory factors involved in the financial market drop today and what precipitated the correction (at least for now it’s a correction).

 

Way back in 1977, our country was still struggling with significant problems relating to race relations in that there were what were known as “red line” regions outside of which realtors and bankers would not arrange financing for home purchasing. Hence the “Equal Housing Opportunity Act”. The act was signed into law by President Jimmy Carter. It required a degree of affirmative action preference steps to help put minorities into homes that they had previously been denied access to in some communities because of the “red lining” that was occurring. It made such practice illegal and subject to prosecution if it could be proven. This act was handled by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, the quasi-governmental loan programs.

 

Then, in 1998, under President Bill Clinton, he and certain democrats within congress (both houses) began putting additional pressure on Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to begin accepting loan packages for what are known today as ‘sub-prime’ housing candidates. These were loan packages for people whose creditworthiness was far below acceptable. It required that Fannie and Freddie begin including welfare and social security income as acceptable forms of income when calculating credit-worthiness and ability to pay the mortgages. There were many within Fannie and Freddie who said that this was not acceptable, and were told by their bosses that they had to accept these loans and repackage them into marketable securities to be sold to banks on Wall Street. Fannie and Freddie’s sole purpose in accepting these loans was to make their numbers look good and to show the government that they were getting record numbers of people who could not otherwise have afforded to into homes of their own.

 

This over-inflation of actual creditworthy loans made quite a few people very, very wealthy. Franklin Raines and Barney Frank were only two of those who became very wealthy. They ran Fannie Mae. Franklin Raines walked away with at least $90 million and a $240 million golden parachute. Jim Johnson walked away with $24 million as well. he went on to Lehman Brothers, a recently defunct banking institution. It took a while to build up more than $11 billion in bad loans, all of them to people who never should have been given the keys to their overpriced homes when everyone involved knew they would never be keeping them because foreclosure was just down the road for each of them. Even assuming an average price of $275k/home, that’s 40,000 bad loans (minimum).  And, as of today’s posting, Raines and two other former top Fannie execs have agreed to repay $31 million of what they took with them. Raines has gone so far as to say that though he was CEO, he’s not responsible for the mess at Fannie Mae and that he should not be held legally responsible. He’s not admitting fault. Meantime, he’s one of Obama’s economic advisors on housing for the Democrat campaign. Tim Howard, also under investigation for his part in the mismanagement of Fannie Mae by federal investigators is another Obama advisor (as is Jim Johnson).

Why? Why? Why? – No, not yet.

Then came the 100% loan to value financing. In addition, to make it more affordable for some, banks went to 40, 50, and even 60 year financing for homes! Who on earth would want to be tid to a mortgage for 60 years? You’d be 80 by the time you finish paying for it if you bought at 20 years of age. This was their goal. You’d pay interest on 60 years of principle, never decreasing the overall principle on the mortgage for decades. Now, I bought seven years ago and in that seven years, have taken more than $14K off my principle balance. I’m on a 30-year mortgage. I pay more than the minimum each month. What people who financed at 100% LTV (loan to value) have not done is pay more than the minimum. It also enabled them to get into more of a house than they could otherwise afford at an extended term loan. What’s more, the 100% LTV loans are typically ARM loans (adjustable rate mortgages) with a balloon payment built in. This was the “gotcha”. Get the folks into a home at 100% financing on an extended term loan with an ARM rate that would balloon a few years out. When the balloon payment came due, the banks figured they would have a nice piece of real estate they could then turn. What they didn’t anticipate was the bursting of the real estate bubble. Everyone had been running high on profit and didn’t care what the future would bring. Big mistake.

Why? Why? Why? – okay you’ve figured it out by now.

GREED

 

Greed by those who ran Freddie and Fannie; greed by those in Congress who were receiving lobbyist dough; greed by those on Wall Street and in the banking institutions who bought low and sold high to overseas banking institutions (because it’s all a global economy, don’t ya know?) – everyone made out very large on the income side.

 

As to government persons who benefitted from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, it extends to both sides of the aisle in Congress, and both sides of the aisle in the Senate. The most infamous recipients of cash from Fannie & Freddie lobbyists are Dodd and Obama, each of whom received more than $126,000 in lobbying funds from the two loan institutions.

In a move that could help increase home ownership rates among minorities and low-income consumers, the Fannie Mae Corporation is easing the credit requirements on loans that it will purchase from banks and other lenders.

The action, which will begin as a pilot program involving 24 banks in 15 markets — including the New York metropolitan region — will encourage those banks to extend home mortgages to individuals whose credit is generally not good enough to qualify for conventional loans. Fannie Mae officials say they hope to make it a nationwide program by next spring.
 
Fannie Mae, the nation’s biggest underwriter of home mortgages, has been under increasing pressure from the Clinton Administration to expand mortgage loans among low and moderate income people and felt pressure from stock holders to maintain its phenomenal growth in profits.

”Fannie Mae has expanded home ownership for millions of families in the 1990’s by reducing down payment requirements,” said Franklin D. Raines, Fannie Mae’s chairman and chief executive officer (and current Obama advisor) . ”Yet there remain too many borrowers whose credit is just a notch below what our underwriting has required who have been relegated to paying significantly higher mortgage rates in the so-called subprime market.””

What’s worse, the Democrat-controlled House planned to slide their program by the republicans without including Republicans in the negotiations and came out with a program that would have given groups like ACORN (and especially ACORN) up to $300 billion over and above the amount requested by the White House to bail this situation out of the drink. ACORN is well-known to be practice fraudulent methods and their current “get out the vote” voter registration practices are also showing to be fraudulent with the number of improper registrations (incorrect addresses, wrong phone numbers, incorrect identification, etc). ACORN is also the organization that Obama used to belong to as a “community organizer” and attorney. There are dark ties to this organization that Obama will have to explain, whether or not he is elected. As a result of the inclusion in the bill for set-asides that would benefit ACORN, they could only have been put in there for his benefit as a “payback” to the organization that got his dubious career started.

Now, I don’t believe we should be doing a bailout anyway and I wrote to my congressmen and to John McCain not to permit it to go through in the form that Mr. Paulson supported or in the form that the Dems had tried to slide through. I’m glad he went back to Washington. I’m also glad he kept the debate at ‘Ole Miss. He then went back to Washington and stayed on the periphery but remained in constant contact with members of the Republican party of both houses of government. Obama basically wrote off the issue and continued to campaign. This concerns me as a voter because it makes me wonder how he’ll deal with really big issues of this sort that may crop up if he is in another country talking with another country’s president should he be elected (see my piece, “Are We There Yet?”).

Whereas, McCain took the initiative to go to Washington and meet with the President and top congressional members without having to be asked, Obama had to be requested to attend the meeting. He did not offer to go to Washington. His “phone it in” attitude is not the way to properly take the lead on an issue. While some may argue that this was simply a political ploy, the vote on Monday would not have been affected in the passing of the proposed legislation had either one of them been on the floor for the vote. Did McCain make a mistake during the debate in not bringing up the reason for his going to Washington and digging at Obama for not having gone until requested to appear? Certainly. Was Obama arrogant in not going on his own? Certainly.

I have read the bill that was proposed and, though I’m not an attorney, and don’t know what every single aspect of the bill means, I am able to understand when something isn’t quite right or doesn’t ring as true to the intent of the process. The 35% set-aside for organizations (not mentioned by name) such as ACORN continued to exist in the bill. There are also provisions in the bill to continue to support individual homeowners in bailing them out of their own foreclosures. Why should we do this? They got themselves into programs that they should never have qualified for in the first place just for the purpose of inflating numbers. They made the choice to try to qualify for more than their income would permit. They made the choice to buy more than they could actually afford. Tell me where the justification is for bailing someone out like that? There are also other provisions in the bill that could be considered give-aways. Was it the correct legislation?

Now we find out that the Treasury Secretary already has access to nearly $1 trillion with which he can go ahead and buy up many of these failed securities without having to go through this bailout legislation. Are there any stipulations on those funds? Why are we not using those funds?

 

What will send our country into a recession or even a depression is if the Treasury decides to print that much money. Not only would it send our country into a depression, but it would send the entire world into one, from which it could potentially not recover for a substantial period of time. Printing of money is not the answer in such a case because it also creates rampant inflation.

 

Beyond greed, what caused this problem? Stupidity. (nuf said) – a pile of dog pooh is still a pile of dog pooh no matter how you try to make it smell better.

McCain Is Really Ahead In The Polls

The polls are terribly skewed. The link below gives a great explanation of this skew, particularly as regards MSNBC. They are being affected, in large part, by foreign nations’ viewers who would love to see Obama succeed to the White House. Overwhelmingly, though, McCain leads with AMERICAN poll participants.

First Presidential Debate

OBAMA

“Obamus Interruptus”

 

I am not immune to interrupting someone when thy are speaking and it is something that I am trying to work on; however, Senator Obama has a very severe case of what I will call “Obamus Interruptus” (OI for short). This does not appear to be an affliction that is well-controlled, but perhaps his handlers will work on this with him for the next debate.

 

“Not-True-Itis”

 

Obama constantly said, “that‘s not true” – at least 8 times, when the facts can be verified. Seems that he has a case of “not-true-itis” as well. This most often struck him at the same time as his “OI”. Not-true-itis will hereafter be shortened to “NTI”.

 

“Stress-spit-itis”

 

Obama seemed to be stressed during the entire debate. He pursed his lips a number of times. He also had a drop of spit that sat on his lower lip and seemed to stretch out to his upper lip several times near the end of the debate – he should have taken a sip of water, but he was too stressed to remember to do this - or maybe there were no glasses of water in the lecturns. Shall we call this one “stress-spit-itis” or “SS” for short? When he frowns or purses his lips, his facial creases darken and the lower eye lids darken as though he is about to explode with anger. He did not do well with his stress levels.

 

“Non-direct-answer-itis”/ “can you explain the question please-itis”

 

Obama seemed to have quite a bit of trouble with the definition of “what would you cut during your administration given the economic crisis we are experiencing?” He added more than one quarter of a trillion dollars of spending in his many words of explanation. This one is “non-direct-answeritis” or, “can you explain the question pleaseitis”.

 

“Reverse the truth-itis”

 

Obama made a remark about how wages have “gone down”. This is a reverse of the actual truth. Wages have NOT gone down. In fact, they have grown at a tremendous rate and the minimum wage has increased at least twice in the last two terms of Bush 43. This was done during both republican-dominated and a democrat-dominated congressional terms. This one I’ll call, “reverse the truthitis”. His facts were backward.

 

“John’s Right-itis”

 

At least seven times, Obama was heard to say, “John’s right” or “John’s absolutely right” or “I agree, John’s right”. Let’s just face it, John’s right and the one who’s right should be president.

 

“Doesn’t-understand-itis”

 

Obama simply does not understand the concept of lowering a tax rate which is not the same as lowering taxes. To lower a tax rate for a company, particularly one which would otherwise go to another country rather than pay a 35% tax rate burden here, keeps jobs in this country. To raise the tax rate on a company is to send those jobs exactly where we don’t want them to go – overseas. Raising the tax rate on Wal-Mart, for example does not keep the prices there low. It does not pay their employees more. It does not hire more employees. What it does is tell the executives there that they need to cut staff and make their raises for employees less or give them less frequently. It tells companies like Nike that they should continue to keep their manufacturing overseas instead of bringing it back here to the US where they can then be competitive. Obama does not understand that this also lowers the overall tax that Americans pull out of their pockets and give to the government, whether local or federal. They pay less sales tax if the tax rates can be kept low on each item they buy. Those items are priced in such a way that the company that manufactured them recovers the amount of tax they pay to the government. Then, the consumer pays a sales tax on that product. If the manufacturer has to charge more because of an increased tax rate, the consumer not only pays that increased tax rate, but also pays a higher sales tax on that purchase. Go figure.

 

“Economic-Pork Barrel-Stutter-itis”

 

Obama seemed to be stuttering badly when he was talking about his “bottom up economics. He stuttered or stammered several times in one sentence. Rush will exploit that on Monday. He will also exploit the “John’s Right-itis”.

 

“Fluster-itis”

 

Obama seemed to get flustered a few times. By this, I mean that he started to say one thing and changed his course of conversation to a different direction. The only time he smiled was when he was about to come back with a weak retorte or try to interrupt (see OI above in the first point).

 

“Overtalk-itis”

 

Obama has a habit of overtalking a point. He can’t seem to be direct and concise on an issue. It is as though he doesn’t know where the “stop” button is for his mouth. Does he think that if he talks us into oblivion that we will finally vote for him as republicans crossing over to the other side of the aisle? Not likely. He puts people to sleep with his OTI (Over-Talk-Itis).

 

Under-my-skin-itis

 

Obama seemed to let McCain get to him several times. This was confirmed by the talking heads after the debate. It was something that I made note of on my notepad and something that they confirmed.

 

“Stretch-the-Truth-itis”

 

Obama stretches the truth when he claims that “six years ago I stood up and said I was against the Iraq War and I’ve remained consistent in that belief”. What he fails to include in this is that six years ago, he was a state house representative, not a US Senator and he had no decision-making authority at that time, as respects the Iraq War decision. He wasn’t even in Washington when the Iraq War came to be.

 

MCCAIN

 

“Calm-itis”

 

At times McCain was too calm. He was too reserved. He needed to be more effective and more emotional. I won’t say he was boring, but he needed to liven things up a bit. He needs to work on this.

 

“Won’t Talk To You-itis”

 

On several occasions, moderator Jim Lehrer asked them to speak to one another. I think that John was apprehensive about doing this and he basically refused to speak directly to Obama. He needs to engage Obama and by doing so, will make Obama even more uncomfortable. This will show Obama in a less favorable light. Remember Nixon’s 5 o’clock shadow?

 

“Concise-itis”

 

McCain was very quick in his answers; however, he needs to be more direct and concise. He needs to answer direct questions directly. He did dodge several questions or answer them in a round-about way.

 

“You Won’t Bait Me-itis”

 

McCain was able to keep Obama from baiting him into being stressed.

 

“Relaxed-itis”

 

McCain did a good job in lifting the tenor of the debate on a couple of occasions with some levity. He did what he is best at – being himself and his handlers stressed this significantly during his practice sessions. See also, “you won’t bait me-itis”.

 

OVERALL RESULTS

 

McCain won the debate according to the straw poll done by phone text message on Fox, 84% to 14% with 1% undecided.

 

MY NOT SO HUMBLE OPINION

McCain clearly won this debate, even though he had a few spots where he repeated himself. I did not watch this debate alone, although I will watch the Palin/Biden debate by myself. I watched with a fellow McCain/Palin supporter. Obama was not expected to win this debate overall. Foreign policy is his weak-suit. His handlers were anticipating that he would not be declared the winner and we will have to wait a couple of days until we see the overall polls. Let’s just hope that these polls are more than 100 people survey type things.
